O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de identificar assimetrias no padrão produtivo e tecnológico do setor agropecuário do Estado de Goiás. Utilizou-se informações do Censo Agropecuário do IBGE 1995/1996, considerando, como unidade de análise, os 232 municípios goianos, conforme a divisão político-geográfica de 1996. A quantidade de variáveis e a diversidade de informações nelas contidas estimularam o uso da Análise Multivariada, através da análise fatorial e análise de agrupamento (cluster). A metodologia permitiu a redução das variáveis originais observadas em quatro fatores independentes e a classificação de 5 dimensões específicas identificadas através de grupos de municípios com padrão de produção e nível tecnológico semelhantes. Dessa forma, foi possível visualizar a espacialização da produção e do uso de tecnologia no setor agropecuário goiano. Os resultados da análise apontaram baixa difusão tecnológica, além de revelar que os segmentos produtivos mais tecnificados concentram-se principalmente nas microrregiões do Centro-Sul, Sudeste e Sudoeste goiano.

The purpose of this work was to identify asymmetries in the productive and technological pattern of the agribusiness in the State of Goiás. Information from the Agribusiness Cense (IBGE 1995 / 1996) has been used, considering as the unit of analysis the 232 cities from Goiás, according to the political and geographical division of 1996. The number of variables and the diversity of information that may be found in them have stimulated the use of the multi-varied analysis, though the factorial analysis and the grouping one (cluster). The methodology has enabled the reduction of the original variables which could be observed in four independent factors, besides the classification of 5 specific dimensions that could be identified through groups of cities with similar production pattern and level of technology. Therefore, it has been possible to visualize the space control of the production and of the use of technology in the agribusiness sector of Goiás. The results of the analysis have shown a low technological diffusion, besides showing that the most high-tech productive sectors are found mainly in the micro-regions of the Midwest, southeast and southwest.
