O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar uma proposta preliminar de um instrumento de avaliação de gestores de IES, entendidos como: reitores, vice-reitores, diretores de unidade e chefes de departamento. Foram utilizados dois instrumentos para a coleta de dados: entrevistas e regimentos de duas IES públicas de onde foram extraídas as atribuições de cada gestor. A partir destes dados foram estabelecidas categorias relativas às funções, que são: política, gerencial, administrativa e acadêmica. Como resultado, foram obtidos 03 questionários para avaliação do reitor, do diretor de unidade e do chefe de departamento.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper was to present a preliminary proposition of an instrument for evaluating the administrators of a College Education Institution. These administrators are: deans, vice- deans, directors of unit and headmaster of department. Two instruments for data collecting were used: interviews and the statutes that rule two public CEIs. From these statutes, the assignments of each administrator were taken. Categories related to their functions – political, managerial, administrative and academic functions - were established from the collected data. As a result, there are 03 questionnaires for evaluation of the dean, of the director of unit and of the headmaster of department.
