ATERRO SANITÁRIO DE GOIÂNIA: UMA IDENTIDADE TERRITORIAL E A VULNERABILIDADE E EXCLUSÃO SOCIAL DA POPULAÇÃO DO SEU ENTORNO

Resumo
Este artigo analisa a vulnerabilidade e exclusão social da população que reside no entorno do aterro sanitário de Goiânia. No desenvolvimento do estudo, utilizaram-se bibliografias que abordam questões sobre os resíduos sólidos urbanos dispostos nos aterros, planejamento urbano, fragilidade e exclusão social, especulação imobiliária e ocupação de áreas irregulares. Além disso, buscaram-se literaturas que tratam de questões sobre o território, espaço e identidade. A partir da Ortofoto que mostra o aterro sanitário da cidade e áreas vizinhas, fez-se uma análise de como ocorre a ocupação dos espaços existentes nos arredores desse local. Também se examinou as diretrizes que estabelecem as distâncias mínimas permitidas entre o aterro e os loteamentos vizinhos, abordou-se a questão da identidade territorial das pessoas que moram na região e o uso desses espaços. Por fim, foram ponderadas quais as causas e consequências desse tipo de habitação, o processo de gentrificação, a cidade informal que está se construindo na região do aterro sanitário de Goiânia e o embate vivido pelo poder público, que fica entre a necessidade de tratar seus resíduos sólidos ou manter a população morando em loteamentos irregulares, o que se reflete na falta de sintonia entre a sociedade e o meio ambiente.

GOIÂNIA'S LANDFILL: A TERRITORIAL IDENTITY AND THE VULNERABILITY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION OF POPULATION IN ITS SURROUNDINGS
ABSTRACT
This paper examines the vulnerability and social exclusion of people living near Goiânia's landfill. In the study development, bibliographies were used addressing issues on solid waste disposed in landfills, urban planning, fragility and social exclusion, speculation and irregular areas occupation. Furthermore, literature were sought to address issues of territory, space and identity. From the Orthophoto showing the landfill of the city and surrounding area, an analysis was made to detect how the occupation of existing spaces near such equipment occur. The guidelines that establish minimum distances allowed between the landfill and the neighboring allotments were also examined and addressed the issue of territorial identity of people who lives in the region and the use of these spaces. Finally, subjects that were also considered were the causes and consequences of this type of housing, the process of gentrification, the informal city that is being built in Goiânia landfill area and the clash experienced by the government, which is between the need to address its solid waste or maintain the population living in irregular settlements, which is reflected in the lack of harmony between society and the environment.
