Um olhar crítico da nossa cultura de práticas corporais identifica atividades físicas e modalidades esportivas com diferentes graus de empenho de seu oferecimento pelas instituições sociais reconhecidas. O fator que determina esse empenho está diretamente relacionado com o aspecto estético do espetáculo esportivo que por sua vez é acelerado pelo mito da alta competição esportiva e econômica. A pedagogia do esporte aqui apresentada pretende desmistificar esse fenômeno reforçando aspectos educativos do movimento corporal de uma prática esportiva que, até então, recebeu muito do modelo do “homo economicus” e pouco do modelo de “homo ludens”. Sua história demonstra que, a participação de seus agentes de transformação sempre foi com mais avidez para a projeção no mundo do esporte espetáculo e da alta competição, deixando num patamar de importância menor e esporte de lazer, lúdico e divertido para um equilíbrio social maior.

A critical look of our culture concerning the corporal practices identifies physical activities and sportive modalities with different degrees of diligence about its offering by the recognized social institutions. The factor that determines this persistence is related with the aesthetic aspect of the spectacle that in other words is accelerated by the myth of the high sportive and economic competition. The pedagogy of the sport presented here, intends to demystify this phenomenon strengthening the educative aspects of the corporal movement from a practical sportive that, until then, it received from the model of “homo economicus” and very little from the model of “homo ludens” Its history demonstrates that, the participation of its agents of transformation always focused the world of the sport spectacle as well as the high competition. For the other side, sport of leisure, playful and amused, they come in less importance platform to a higher social balance.
