O ciclo menstrual caracteriza-se por alterações rítmicas mensais que envolvem a secreção de hormônios e alterações físicas nos órgão sexuais. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a força de preensão manual nas diversas fases do ciclo menstrual. Foram analisadas a força de preensão manual da mão direita e esquerda, através de dinamômetria, durantes as três fases do ciclo menstrual em nove voluntárias praticantes de atividade física e usuárias de contraceptivo oral. Não foi demonstrada diferença significante em todas as variáveis analisadas. Concluímos que para a população estudada não houve alteração da força de preensão manual durante as três fases do ciclo menstrual. Palavras-chave: Ciclo menstrual; Força; Contraceptivo oral.

The menstrual cycle is characterized by monthly rhythmic alterations that involve the secretion of hormones and physical alterations in the sexual organ. This study had as objective analyzes the force of manual hand-hold in the several phases of the menstrual cycle. The force of manual hand-hold of the right and left hand was analyzed through dynamometry during the three phases of the menstrual cycle in nine volunteers practicing of physical activity and users of oral contraceptive. Was not found significant difference in the all variables analyzed. We concluded that for the studied population there was not alteration of the force of manual hand-hold during the three phases of the menstrual cycle.
