Com base em uma reflexão de caráter filosófico e educacional, busca-se traçar uma compreensão do fenômeno tempo quando tratamos de observá-lo no âmbito atual da educação e da educação física escolar. Para tanto, observa-se a tendência de aceleração e de não-permanência dos fenômenos e como isso projeta-se para perspectivas educativas e para uma noção de corpo e de atividade física presentes no ambiente da educação física escolar. A influência de modelos midiáticos e, em especial, das novas formas de comunicação e tecnologia são também identificadas como fatores atuantes nesse imaginário sobre o tempo. Based on a philosophical and educational reflection, we aim at understanding the time phenomenon as observed in the current scenario of education and physical education in schools. To achieve that goal, we observed a tendency of acceleration and non-permanence of phenomena and how they reflect in education and in the notion of body and physical education activities in the school environment. The influence of media models and particularly new communications and technology systems can also be identified as drivers of this imaginary idea of time.
