O foco de análise desse trabalho monográfico foi a presença do brincar na escola, em especial, nas aulas de Educação Física, no Ensino Fundamental, do município de Araputanga-MT. Em específico, foram investigados os elementos da cultura lúdica infantil; a apropriação pedagógica do brincar pelo professor nas aulas de Educação Física; e os saberes aprendidos pelas crianças através do brincar. Pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, natureza etnográfica e tendência descritiva. Entendeu-se que o jogo e a brincadeira são recursos pedagógicos capaz de proporcionar uma aprendizagem espontânea e natural pela criança, além de exercer, o papel de conteúdo de ensino por serem uma fonte de conhecimentos. The focus of this work monographic analysis was the presence of playing in school, especially in physical education classes, in elementary school, the municipality of Araputanga-MT. In particular, we investigated the elements of culture playful child, the ownership of playing by the professor teaching the classes of Physical Education, and the knowledge learned by children through play. Search for a qualitative approach, nature and tendency ethnographic description. It would appear that the game play and learning resources are able to provide a natural and spontaneous learning by the child, in addition to exercise, the role of content of education by being a source of knowledge.
